Definition of paraphrasing:
Restating or Rewriting a writer’s ideas using your own words.

How to paraphrase? *Read the passage carefully and slowly. (What is important in it?). *Find the meaning of the unfamiliar words and write down their synonyms or definitions. *Reread each sentence. (What is the writer saying? What is the information?). *Rewrite each sentence using your own words.
