PROGRESS TOWARD GOALS Our primary goals are improvement for all students in math, literacy, and wellness The district continues to exceed the required improvement rate established by the state for our combined population on each testing instrument Greenwood School District was identified as a Needs Improvement District despite 90% of its total students scoring proficient or advanced on the Benchmark and End of Course Exams East Pointe Elementary and East Hills Middle School were identified as “Needs Improvement” due to failing to meet growth in Math for the “TAGG” group. NOTE- Greenwood TAGG groups outperformed the overall state average for all students

Common Core State Standards
The Common Core State Standards provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. With American students fully prepared for the future, our communities will be better positioned to compete successfully in the global economy.
