The Passover Then (Ex. 12) & Now
Had to Be Applied to Be Affective – Homes Without Blood: Firstborn Killed – Provided Protection from Wrath of God (Ex. 12:12-13) “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us” - Heb. 9:22-24 “we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” - Col. 1:14 No Uncircumcised Person Could Eat It (Ex. 12:48) “he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart” - Rom. 2:29 “you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.” - Rom. 6:17

The Passover Then (Ex. 12) & Now
Meal Was an Everlasting Memorial (Ex. 12:14, 17) 1 Cor. 5:7-8) “indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast” 1 Cor. 11: “He…took bread…He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.…He also took the cup…This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.“ Christ Sacrificed to Set Us Free! “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” – Rom. 6:16 “the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” – Rom. 8:2

The Significance of the Passover
God Saves Those Who Have Blood of Passover Lamb On Doorway (Ex. 12:22-23) Reverence For Blood Required (Ex. 12:22) Reverence For Blood of Christ Required Today “how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?” - Heb. 10:29
13
Keep the Passover! When We Remember Christ, Our Passover Today (1 Cor. 11:27-29) “Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.”
14
Keep the Passover! We Were Without Hope Without Christ
“that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.” - Ephesians 2:12
15
Eat it in Haste! (Ex. 12:11) Keep the Passover!
Keep the Passover! How? “Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:6-8 NKJV) Eat it in Haste! (Ex. 12:11)
