The Boy Scout troops 124 and 318 found a barrel full of an unknown chemical. The chemical had a bad smell that burned their noses. That probably means it was harmful. They haven't found out what the chemical contains. Professionals did come 20 minutes later to dispose of the chemical.
BioTech was using chemicals and was pumping some into the river. This has been happening for many years now. Though BioTech corrected one of the problems (The water temperature) we don’t know if they carried out the waste removal. Even if they did, some chemicals could still be left behind.
EnviroMax is company that makes lawn care chemicals. They make them for golf courses and is now available for homes. The chemical is being overused In the area, not just because of peoples homes having it, but because the golf courses have been applying far too much chemical. Because of the floods, the chemicals were washed into the river

4. What can we do to fix this?
To fix this issue, it won't be easy.

5. It will have to be tested to make sure that its not harmful
It will have to be tested to make sure that its not harmful. People will have to clean the areas around were the leak was found. People will also need to check the area to make sure that was the only leak.

BioTech must learn to dispose of their chemicals correctly. They will need to put their unused chemicals into a toxic waste dump or learn a way to use them. If they keep it out of the river, it will overtime have all the polluted water flushed out.

7. EnviroMax
EnviroMax has to be banned from the area. It’s a major reason on why the chemicals are in the river. If it is not used in peoples homes or in the golf corse, it wouldn't get in the river. People can still keep their yard green, they just have to use green alternatives.

8. Even if the clams don’t return,
Our plan can help save other species for dying out.
