Write a two paragraph paper about health and wellness and how it can contribute to your life. What are you doing to better your health and wellness? What can you change? Is your family a healthy family? How can you make it better and what activities can you do with your family to live a healthy and wellness lifestyle? Two paragraphs means AT LEAST 5 sentences in each paragraph! MAKE UP YOUR QUIZ!

The Decision-Making Process
These are steps that enable you to make a healthful decision. What responsible decisions have you made this week? These steps are there to help YOU make decisions that protect your rights and health while respecting the rights and health of others. Often, you will find it helpful to seek advice from those with more experience (Mrs. Curry/other teachers/peers/parentals/guardians)

What do you think could be the first step? 1st step of the decision-making process is to State the Situation. Examine the situation and ask yourself: ”What decisions need to be made? Consider all health information and who else is involved.

Step 1: identify the situation- examine and ask yourself: What decisions need to be made? Step 2: List the Options Step 3: Weight the possible outcomes Step 4: Consider values Step 5: Make a decision and act on it Step 6: Evaluate the decision

Step 2: List the options. What are the possible choices you could make? Share your options with parents/guardians/siblings/teachers. Ask for their advice.

3RD STEP: weigh the possible outcomes: H (healthful) – what health risks will this option present? E (ethical) – does this choice reflect what you and your family believe is right? L (legal) – does this option violate any local/state/federal laws? P (Parent Approval) – Would your parents/guardians approve this choice? 4th STEP: Consider Values: Values are ideas, believes and attitude about what is important that help guide the way you live

5th step: Make a decision and act on it! 6th step: Evaluate the decision.. Reflect on what happened. What was the outcome? How did your decision affect your health and those around you? What did you learn?
