The hypothesis was that the first year did a good job of reducing FRB eggs and the second year of treatments in the same trees would reduce FRB further. But the winter of was very warm, adults emerged in the winter, and in the end there were higher numbers of eggs in the second year in all treatments. The Brigade ground treatment did the best in both years, but no treatment eliminated all eggs. Brigade WSB is a 5 lb/acre ground treatment, Actara 25 WG 5.5 oz/acre and Kryocide 10 lb/acre are foliar treatments. All trees except untreated were skirt pruned.
