2 Which province or city is famous for this cuisine?
This dish is famous in Guangdong. Cantonese food is the most popular style internationally. Guangdong Province and Hong Kong are noted for fine seafood dishes and rice dishes. They eat a very wide variety of foods. The dishes they serve don't have strong flavours since it is lightly seasoned, and they often tend to be a little sweet. Guangdong

3 The features of the Guangdong Cuisine
In Guangdong cuisine a number of ingredients like spring onion, sugar, salt, soy sauce, rice wine, corn starch, vinegar, scallion oil, and sesame oil are used to enhance flavour. Ginger, chili peppers, five-spice powder, powdered black pepper, star anise and a few other spices are also used, but often sparingly. Also if cooking in wine means that the main ingredient is steamed in alcoholic vapor. The most typical dish is twin pigeons cooked in rose wine. Cantonese cuisine is typified by simple dishes that are all about clear, natural flavours, reflections of the regions abundant seafood and agriculture.

4 The History Guangdong and Guangxi often were jointly governed. Guangdong was first administered as a separate entity in 997CE , it was from this time that the term Guangdong (Chinese “Eastern Expanses”) began to be used. Guangdong has its own physical and cultural identity. The Cantonese dishes are most famous for dim sum, bite-sized portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Guangdong province is one of the eight culinary Traditions of Chinses cuisine. The Guangdong cuisine is one of the most popular cuisine Chinese food abroad. The dietetic culture of Guangdong has retained many eating habits and customs of the ancient people , such as eating snakes.

5 Differences and Similarties
Similarities: Guangdong Cuisine : Australian Dishes This cuisine uses a lot of their on sauces that they came up with. They also use a lot of edible meat such as Chicken feet, duck Tongue, snakes and snail Most of the dishes in the Guandong cuisine have a background story showing a little bit of their origin. They have a lot of different ways of cooking one certain meal for example shallow frying, double steaming, deep fried and frying. They use their own cultural supplies of food from home ground. Had their own influence from their native place for their dishes. Well known around their country or province. Both dishes have a lot of meat used in them. Most of Traditional Australians cuisine foods have a lot of influential ideas from other countries back in the century They have an interest in bushfoods such hunting Kangaroos, wallaby and emu More organic They have a lot of dishes that are grilled, fried or cooked using the Barbeque. British Colony period influenced strong base of interest in Ango-celtic style reaps and methods.

6 Is the Guangdong cuisine healthy?
Unlike overseas Chinese food and some region styles, a lot of oil or grease isn’t used, and neither are any dairy products making it more healthier. There are not a lot of calories in the dishes, this combined with the white rice or rice noodles that is healthy mostly in protein

7 What do you like about the Guangdong Cuisine?
What I like about the Cantonese cuisine is how they have several different flavours added in with dishes making it more tastier. Their ways of cooking one certain meal such as Double steaming, Shallow frying, deep frying and frying. Their variety of sauces that they made themselves. I like how all the dishes have a background of their food and story to tell us more about the dish, and its origin. The balance between the flavours and sauces makes the dish stand out more, and also the Guangdong cuisine contains a lot of ingredients, sauces, flavours and time to make one average size dish.

English Hǎixiānjiàng Háoyóu Sūméijiàng Tángcùjiàng suànróng dòuchǐjiàng Hoisen Sauce Oyster Sauce Plum Sauce Sweet and Sour Sauce Black Bean Shrimp sauce Red sauce

9 What is it famous for? = Dragon Tiger Phoenix Why are those ingredients used? The best way to eat it? Does it have any symbolic meaning? It is another famous dish with chrysanthemum (made with snake, leopard and chicken) with braised phoenix liver and snake) and stirred fried shredded snake meat in five colours. 10 Chinese Table Manners When eating a meal in china people are expected to behave in a civilised manner. Let older people eat first. Watching T.V , using your phone or carrying in some other activity while eating is a bad habit. Close your mouth when eating. When finding your favourite dish, you should not gobble it up as quickly as possible or put the plate up in front of yourself and stuff on the table and ask if they want any first.

11 What effect does the weather have on the food?
In some parts of china the ground is frozen within other parts of china it is nice and warm. China also only gets 2 inches of rain a year. China is also mountainous with 60% of the land is higher than 6500 feet and at leats 50% of the country is very dry with the rainfall decreasing as one goes from east to west. So the weather does not have a major effect on the foods that are been cooked in Guangdong and many foods that are cooked can be cooked for both warm and cold.
