2. Aims
To represent my project devoted to English idioms to my classmates
To increase knowledge of the English language
To get some students interested in learning English idioms.
To compare translation of Russian and English idioms

3. Tasks To find out how popular idioms are among young people
To get to know more about the structure of the English language
To hold a questionnaire among pupils about how well they know English idioms
To compare the results of the answers between the pupils of the 11th and 7th forms

4. The relevance of the work
Nowadays it is essential for young generation to know more about English idioms for some reasons:
Idioms help to make our speech closer to native speaker’s one
Idioms enable to broaden horizons
Idioms help to increase vocabulary

5. Idioms words, phrases, or expressions that are not interpreted logically or literally. It means succession of words whose meaning isn’t obvious through knowledge of the individual words but must be learnt as a whole.
