2. Getting your bearings Toolbars and tabs, just like in Word Home tab
Use it to edit text, add new slides, and add shapes

3. Themes and slide design
You can create a new blank presentation using themes …
File -> New -> Select theme
… Or change an existing presentation to a new theme
Design tab -> Themes menu -> Choose theme

4. Inserting Pictures Insert tab
Choose from “Online Pictures” for clipart or get pictures from your computer
Copy & Paste pictures from the internet

5. Inserting Videos
From the Insert tab, choose either “Online Video” or “Video on My PC”
For “Online Video”:
Navigate to YouTube, right click to copy the “embed code” and paste the code into the pop-up box

6. Transitions
“Transitions” change the way slides appear when you move from one to the next
Transitions tab
Select slide
Choose transition

7. Animations Animations apply to lines of a list
Located in the Animations tab
Place your cursor on the line you want to animate, then choose the animation
Preview
Re-order their appearance
You can even apply animations to pictures
