Myth 1: Communication is a Cure-All
Role one: A driver going 55 MPH in a 30 MPH Zone. Role two: A police officer Scenario: A driver has just been pulled over for speeding by a police officer. The driver attempts to talk his/her way out of the speeding ticket.

Myth #2: Quantity means Quality
Role One: A New England Patriots Fan Role Two: A Denver Broncos fan Scenario: Two football fans are debating which football team is better; neither is willing to change their view.

Myth #3: Meaning is in the Words We Use
Role One: A young woman on a first date Role Two: A young man on a first date Two people on a date have a misunderstanding based on a different definition of the same word.

Myth 4: We Have a Natural Ability to Communicate
Role one: a debater Role two: a debater Scenario: To debaters are debating the resolution: “Every human being has a natural ability to communicate.”
