Maximum benefit: $3,780.00/student (assuming 2 semesters) Effective since 2013 Mastery Advancement Program Scholarship for students who graduate early 1 year early= $1,500.00 2 years early = $3,000.00 3 years early = $4,500.00 MAP school districts receive an equivalent award amount Graduate at least one year early Attend a public Idaho post-secondary institution Effective since 2011 Feedback from the field indicates these programs are confusing, overwhelming to implement and difficult to explain to parents Considerations: Students can participate in more than one program at the same time, except for Fast Forward and Dual Credit for Early Completers. For these two programs, students may be enrolled in either one or the other in a given term. Students who fail a course must pay for a like course or exam on their own before using subsequent funding within the specific program. The school district is responsible for tracking this information. If a student performs inadequately on an exam, the school district may determine whether or not the student is eligible for further funding.

$4,125 Miranda Jones is a 14 year old in 8th grade. She has been homeschooled for the last two years. Her mother insists that she enroll in choir and band during 1st & 2nd period. Miranda plans to spend the rest of her day on the college campus. For her to enroll at CWI would require a counselor/administrator to provide a recommendation. What are the challenges in this scenario and how do you go about developing a learning plan for Miranda. Enrollment Policy? Do you enter this student in portal for data? Younger Student…what is required for recommendation? Advising? Funding & ADA?

$4,125 It is the beginning of the school year and Nicholas Simmons is starting his senior year. He comes into your office on the second day of school and produces a record of the grade he earned over the summer from a college English course at CWI and asks you to make Fast Forward pay for it. This is the first you have heard of this activity. What do you do? Enrollment Policy? Do you enter this student in portal for data? Younger Student…what is required for recommendation? Advising? Funding & ADA?

$4,125 The mother of one of your eighth grade students storms into your office livid at the grade that her daughter earned taking a dual credit course paid for by Fast Forward. She demands the grade be scrubbed from her daughter’s transcript so as not to harm her 3.8 GPA and permanent college transcript. The student’s father is the school board chairman. She produces an IDAPA code indicating the parent has the choice whether or not to transcribe the secondary credit. What do you do? Enrollment Policy? Do you enter this student in portal for data? Younger Student…what is required for recommendation? Advising? Funding & ADA?

$4,125 Sochi Yamaguchi scored high enough on an English placement test that she was placed into English She has the option to purchase the credits for English 101 (vertical credit) and wants Fast Forward to pay for it. What do you do? Enrollment Policy? Do you enter this student in portal for data? Younger Student…what is required for recommendation? Advising? Funding & ADA?
