All SpEd classes are in the evenings or during summer in order for you to fit them in!

3 What are the requirements?
2.5 GPA Minimum Online Application which includes an essay and two professor recommendations ONE (1) of the following SAT score of 1100+ OR ACT Score of 24+ CASA score of 220 on each of subtests (reading, writing, mathematics) There is a Decision Point One interview with members of TEC once all is clear.

4 CASA exams Visit

5 There are web-based CASA study guides available for purchase from the Pearson site (expire in 30 days). There is a third party study guide that many students have done well with and it is available for one year from purchase –

6 The Application form is on “my hanover”
Navigate to *Must be logged in on My Hanover Go to: Academics tab Education Dept near bottom Application Form (some fields will be automatically populated for you) You will upload essay from your computer into the app. When you hit SUBMIT – your identified recommendation professors will be notified and receive directions on how to complete a recommendation form. Please note that these must be from your INSTRUCTORS only.

7 New due date for 2017-2018 November 1, 2017
Why? We have increasing numbers of sophomores who are missing the due date for applying to the program, causing them to have to declare an alternate major in February and then having to apply to change majors to Elementary Education or the new Secondary Education major. Make sure you have your exam requirements met over the summer – that means making very sure you know your SAT or ACT scores and taking the CASA well before returning to campus in September. Many students require retakes of one of more subtests and those can only be scheduled after a 30 day wait period. Save time, save money – study and prepare for the CASA exam!!
