2. Why Paul Wanted Timothy to “Come Before Winter”
Paul believed that his death was imminent; he wished to see Timothy again. (2 Tim. 4:6)
Friends and supporters were few (1 Timothy 1:2; 2 Timothy 4:9-11; 16-17; Acts 14:8-20; Philippians 2:19-22)
Paul needed Timothy to bring him certain things. (2 Timothy 4:13; 1 Timothy 4:13)
It was dangerous to travel the seas during winter. (Acts 27:9-10)

Think ahead and prepare (Matt. 25:1-13)
Make things right with others (Matthew 5:23-25; 18:15-17)
Make the most of our time now – take advantage of opportunities (Matthew 26:36-46; 16:21-22; Galatians 6:10; Ephesians 5:15-16)
Obey the gospel today (2 Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 3:7-8)
