1 Aim: How do scientists interpret data (Part1)?
Do Now: What should a scientist do to organize the data he/she collects when an experiment is performed?

2 Data Tables An organized arrangement of information in labeled rows and columns.

3 Tips for Creating Data Tables
Identify the independent and dependent variables to determine which observations you will make. Make sure your data table indicates regular time intervals if you use them. Make a draft of the data table that includes labels on the rows and columns and a title for the table. Include the units of measurement in the column labels. Make sure there is a place for observations of the control group. If you have more than one trial make sure you include space for them. Revise the data table as needed.

4 Activity Complete the worksheet you were given. Use your notes and knowledge of how to create a data table to help you.
