1 Body Language The author: Ilyushkina N. M. Gymnasium-17

2 The purpose: success in educational and professional activity. The targets: to obtain information about body language, to learn to identify the moments when a person is telling a lie, to identify the differences of non-verbal communication means in different countries.

3 In accordance with the targets set,
the following issues are considered: Body language. Signs of a Liar: Body Language and Lies. Body Language Across Different Cultures.

Body language is a form of non-verbal communication, which consists of: body posture, gestures, facial expressions, eye movements.

5 It is amazing to think that our words mean much less than the signals our body sends to the recipients.

6 Facial expressions are a very common way that we use to communicate every day.

Wrinkles around the eyes Eyes squinted Cheeks raised Corners of the lips raised If a person smiles, but there are no wrinkles around the eyes, then the smile is false.

8 Sadness The upper eyelids are slightly lowered The stare is at a loss

9 Anger Eyebrows are lowered and kept close The upper eyelids are lifted
The lower eyelids are tense The stare is intent The nostrils are extended The lips are either compressed or open teeth If the eyebrows are not lowered and kept close – the anger is false. A person wants only to scare you. If a person shouts and his eyebrows are up – it is an attempt to convince you.

14 Hand Gestures Gestures are not less important than mimic signs. Any discrepancy between words and gestures can speak of insincerity
