What is a Certificate program?
When a participant must (by either method) meet the criteria to receive a certificate By count of courses (six out of ten courses) By a number of Hours / CEU’s / or Credits Earned in a specific order

Sample criteria Courses can also be available for open enrollment

What will be criteria for completion of certificate? Are there prerequisites and will they be enforced? Are you required to track the graduate after graduation?

Check whether student has met prerequisites Set the CatLinkStatus .ini setting which determines how ACEweb handles prerequisite courses.

Fill in the appropriate options *If your system is missing this report, modify the default transcript and add justdoit(‘=certwiz()’) Additional information is available in the help guide, or call your tech

GRADREPT – Returns a count of courses, or a sum of hours/ceus
FINDINT – allows you to query by Interest Code to return only those certificate program participants FINDGRP – allows you to query by Grouping Code HASCLASS – returns either True/False or Yes/No if a student has taken a course which meets a stated conditions A few useful functions

GRADSPEC – returns individuals who have taken the required courses GRADSPEC2 – returns individuals who have taken required courses within 2 different course groups A few (more) useful functions GRADCRED – returns individuals who have completed a specific number of ceus/hours GRADCRED2 – returns individuals who have completed a specific number of credit/hours within two different course groups

Use the Interest Code as the course subject code
The subject code is automatically assigned to anyone who enrolls in the course. In addition, it is stamped with the current date, which makes it easy to track whether or not the student completes within the time limit

Is there a fee to apply or register for the program?
Establish a separate course to register individuals that will collect the fee. This allows you to more easily track the fees associated with the certificate program.

From the Quick Reports screen, check the Certificates and Separately options
