6 Results after 7 years 700 youth clubs, countrywide 7 Mio young people reached (with basic sexual information & condom distribution etc.) vital network of youth clubs young people’s health on public agenda rapid scaling up via social franchise is possible even without financial fees for franchisees investment (money, time) in system development is essential area master franchisees helpful cost-effective, but not self sustaining Lessons Learned

8 Results Fast growing community foundation movement (more than 20 % per year) Over 200 new community foundations in 10 years (Spending 5 Mio Euro per Year) active local community funders enormous leverage of pro bono work establishment of a new nationwide but decentral civil society infrastructure Lessons Learned Return on investing in scaling up of local resource leveraging capacity/infrastructure is higher than in “simple” scaling up of projects The longer the program, the higher the return per invested Euro.
