1 361: How did the Wagner Act work to revive labor?
The Wagner Act, or the National Labor Relations Act, outlawed antiunion practices such as company sponsored unions. It also created the National Labor Relations Board, which allowed for voting in the workplace to accept union representation. Businesses were obligated to accept the results of the voting.

FDR’s court packing plan to place judges favorable to his policies in the Supreme Court failed. The economy once again took a hit with a drop in the stock market.

While women served in some high positions of government, acceptance of them in the workforce was still very limited. African Americans also received some positions in government, with the Black Cabinet advising FDR in an official capacity, but were still discriminated against on a widespread basis.
