You can own more than things
There is more to being an “owner” than just owning material things (car, house, clothes, phone, etc).
For instance….
In the classroom, when a student takes responsibility for not completing their work and does not try to blame others or outside forces, they are being the owner of their actions.

You may need to define reliable (able to be trusted), dependable (responsible), and accountable (culpable; responsible to/for) to students.

Your choices
Choosing not to do your work to the best of your ability (or at all) is not something that anyone but you can control.
You need to own the grade you receive because of it.

If you do something that you know you should not (like cheating), you need to be willing to admit your wrongdoing and deal with the consequences.
