2. Timeline: Before
June 12, 1929 Annelies Marie Frank is born in Frankfurt, Germany.
1933 Frank family moves to Amsterdam, Holland, when Hitler comes to power in Germany.
June 12, 1942 Anne receives a diary for her thirteenth birthday.
July, 1942 Margot Frank gets a call to report to a transit camp.
July 6, 1942 The Frank family moves into the 'secret annex‘.

3. Timeline: After
Aug 4, 1944 The Franks are arrested, taken to a police station, the to Westerbork, a transit camp in Holland.
Oct 30, 1944 Anne and her sister, Margot, are sent to Bergen-Belsen.
Jan 6, Edith Frank dies of starvation in Auschwitz.
Jan 7, 1945 Auschwitz is liberated. Otto Frank is the only survivor from the annex.
March Margot dies of typhus in Bergen-Belsen.
April Anne dies of typhus in Bergen-Belsen.

The climax usually occurs toward the end of the story, after the reader has become emotionally involved with the characters
The arrival of the Nazis to the ‘secret annex’ marks the climax of the story
All the tension that has built throughout the plot reaches its peak and ends here

Throughout the story, a number of minor conflicts are resolved while in the ‘secret annex’
Anne and Peter begin to become friends
Anne’s relationship with her mother becomes better
Everyone is so happy about the end of the war, they forget their grudges against each other
Mr. Frank’s final speech resolves the major conflict set out at the beginning of they play telling what happened after their discovery in the ‘secret annex’.

Others believe Anne Frank did not write her dairy, but that her father, Otto Frank did, to profit off the deaths of those in the ‘secret annex’
