Introduction Gender stereotypes are assumptions about people based on their gender. These assumptions might be about: someone’s personality or interests; how well they will do at a task how they are likely to behave; the types of jobs they are likely to do.

In your groups: Choose a gender stereotype Design a gender neutral advert that avoids or challenges the stereotype Mock-up / sketch your advert

Stereotypes in film & TV
Choose a or TV show or film. Discuss whether it uses gender stereotypes. You might want to think about: What is the gender of the main character? How would you describe their personality? Do they have a job? What is it? How would the film / show be different if their gender was different?
