Polish workers into the UK
Objective: Describe and suggest reasons for voluntary international population migrations.

In 2004, Poland and several other former Eastern European countries joined the EU. The UK and Rep. Of Ireland allowed unlimited immigration from the new members. This led to the largest influx of immigrats for centuries with over a 1 million migrant workers. (50% from Poland)

Describe the recent pattern in Eastern European migration to the UK. Explain the main ‘pull factors’ in the UK, attracting so many Polish workers.
