The Commission recognizes that the nationally recognized, research-based A+ Schools Program serves as a model for whole-school reform with arts instruction central to students’ learning and integrated throughout the curriculum, and that A+ teachers should be used as resources and consultants within schools and across local school administrative units (LEAs).

A+ EXPANSION Provided On-site A+ professional development in the form of demonstration teaching, whole staff training, grade level/PLC coaching, faculty meeting connectors, and one-on-one support to 16 A+ Network Schools Started Principal Mentorship Program for New A+ Principals Have already scheduled 10 Network Schools for Summer A+ PD, Summer 2012 Provided funding for re-connection professional development to 12 A+ Schools in need of financial support Bringing in 5 new A+ Schools this Summer, bringing our number of Active A+ Schools to 41 and our total schools to 46
