Fig. 1 The Image Gently Pediatric Digital Radiography Safety Checklist lists the most critical steps for ensuring patient safety and is divided into 4 main phases. This checklist design is intended to allow the technologist to carry out each phase of the procedure in its entirety before pausing. The checklist can be used on a daily basis for quality assurance and to ensure best practice, to train new radiologic technologists, or as a practice quality improvement project.
