Should be positive

-No talking out of turn
Need to be stated clearly.
+Follow the teacher’s instructions
-Always use appropriate conduct.
Should be few
+Class time is for class activities.
-Be on time, no leaving without permission, bring your homework, book notebook and pen to class.
Need to be reasonable and enforceable
Find someone you don’t already know very well.
Share your rules with someone else in the class and discuss if they meet this criteria.

Should be gradual and reversible.
Do not go to extreme consequences, and when possible, allow students to reverse the consequences with good behavior.

No drinks in the classroom except bottled water. Students will be asked to throw out any other drinks when they come into the classroom.
