What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital Citizenship is: Our agreement to interact responsibly, appropriately, and purposefully when using digital media The understanding and acceptance that what you post online will identify you And the conscious choice to make responsible decisions in regards to this knowledge FXfD8

How to Become a good Digital Citizen
To become a responsible digital citizen you must: Respect yourself Respect others Educate yourself Connect with others Protect yourself Protect others

Respect Yourself Take responsibility and be accountable for what you do online, for what you post through technology will be saved forever. Think of the future consequences of what you post online DO NOT post inappropriate pictures of yourself Post things purposefully, think before sharing

Be kind and considerate when communicating online Use clean and non- offensive language If you wouldn't say something to someone's face DO NOT post it online DO NOT take credit for someone else's work online

Educate Yourself Understand how to use technology
Learn how to cite online sources correctly Copyright laws are in place BE RESPONSIBLE

Connect with Others Be clear about purpose Choice is powerful
It’s the relationship that matters Use social media purposefully DO NOT let social media replace face-to-face communication with others

Be informed and cautious when buying or selling online What you post online will stay online FOREVER NEVER give out personal information or passwords online Use secure browsers Set quality passwords Do not spend an excessive amount of time on technology Take time to do other activities to improve your health

Protect Others Stand up for Cyberbullying victims
Give credit where credit is due Cite online sources properly DO NOT share other’s personal information or pictures online without their consent
