To describe in simple terms how fossils are formed when things that have lived are trapped within rock

We have been finding out which rocks are permeable and let water soak into them.

5. Did you know that igneous rock is lava from a volcano that has cooled down?
Here are some volcanoes that we made as part of our homework project about rocks. Some year 3 pupils have used vinegar and baking soda to make their volcanoes erupt and explode!
