4. (NCCCP) is designed to create a community-based cancer center network to support basic, clinical and population-based research initiatives, addressing the full cancer care continuum —from prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship through end-of-life care.

6. Working through CHEs located at NCI-supported institutions, NON will:
Goal
Enable access to current cancer information to inform decision-making about prevention behaviors, screening treatment options and participation in research, including clinical trials and biospecimen collection among underrepresented and at-risk communities
Working through CHEs located at NCI-supported institutions, NON will:
Link NCI’s cancer education, dissemination and outreach with its community-based research
Expand culturally sensitive community outreach and dissemination capacity
Enhance inclusion of underrepresented groups in cancer research

11. Strength of CHE Training
Purpose: Provides the educational content, tools and knowledge of NCI programs and resources necessary for CHEs to effectively address local cancer problem within a research environment and their local community.
