Background for KM Work in IGAD
Challenging environment: Technological differences, different institutional cultures, lack of resources, data compatibility… 6 Country Progamming Papers with KM needs Under PIA 5 1 Regional Programming Paper with KM needs under PIA 5 More than a dozen KM related SC Recommendations 1 Rapid KM Audit 2013 1 GIS audit with GIZ consultants 1 Rapid GIS audit with IGAD team 2014 1 Rapid GIS audit for training needs with GFA consultants and IGAD

SC Recommendations - Building a Unified KM System
Building a unified KM system… IDDRSI SC 1 Djibouti 2013 IGAD strengthens the knowledge management products it piloted by creating an online platform that effectively serves MS, Development Partners and wider stakeholders as part of the unified knowledge management system. IDDRSI SC 2 Kampala 2014 Provide harmonized and coordinated support in KM, programming and capacity building activities and other technical support to affected local and national governments and non-state actors… IDDRSI SC 6 Nairobi 2016

The 3 KM Dimensions People Processes Technologies
Processes can be identified for different levels of interventions (e.g. M&E, Spatial Planning, Resilience analysis, Data flows…)
