From wood to peat
3
From peat to coal
4
From coal to oil
5
From oil to natural gas
6
Concentrated solar energy
7
Stocks are limited
8
Transition is a matter of patience
9
… fossil fuels still badly needed
10
Energy transition by the Trias Energetica
11
1. Reduce energy demand
12
2. Use sustainable sources
13
3. Use fossil fuels efficient
14
For every continent…
15
… sustainability has a different …

… solution.

In Holland a combination of wind …

Did you know. - Avg. Household :. - electricity 3500 kWh/yr
Did you know? - Avg. Household : - electricity 3500 kWh/yr - gas 1500 m3/yr, kWh/yr - gasoline 2000 ltr/yr, kWh/yr - total: kWh/yr - Solar panels on a “dutch roof” app kWh/jr - More than 12 roofs needed!

Did you know (2). - Total consumption incl
Did you know (2)? - Total consumption incl. - food, products, transport, travelling - AVG household: - total kWh/yr - More than 40 roofs needed!
23
Did you know (3)? Annual Dutch natural gas production: 85 BCM This can generate (by gas fired plants) as much electricity as 30,000 off shore wind turbines (5 MW each) Converted: Currently The Netherlands has approx. 250 of these turbines
24
85 BCM natural gas … is equivalent to the amount of energy the sun will give in 18s on the globe or a week in the Netherlands But it still need to be converted to usable energy and energy that can be stored
