5. PROBLEMS IN ARCHITECTURE: From energy use to construction waste, the home building industry takes a significant toll on the environment. Currently there is an apartment renovation boom in Voronezh. Almost all families do the renovation of their old apartments, hiring private construction teams, as a result - waste associated with building new structures and renovating or demolishing existing ones pollutes the atmosphere of our city uncontrollably.

6. PROBLEM IN TRANSPORTATION OVERLOAD: VORONEZH CITY TAKES THE LEAD AMONG OTHER RUSSIAN CITIES ON THE AMOUNT OF PRIVATE AUTOS ON THE SINGLE PERSON. THIS MAKES THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE CITY VERY POLLUTED.

7. OUR GOALS AND STRIVES
Sustainable architecture must efficiently use or/and generate energy.
Green architecture means environment-friendly.
The location must be considered seriously in sustainable development,
Sustainable architecture and development must have excellent waste management.
Employing Biophilic Design, Biophilic Design that brings people closer to nature can reduce stress, enhance creativity and clarity of thought, improve our well-being and expedite healing.
More green zones in the city, more efficient transport connections, more transport underground zones, new fuel.
Buildings that promote occupant health (We spend 90% or more of our time indoors) We need new green buildings that meets designing for health (for example - Buildings that provide access to daylight in their interiors can help keep the occupants' circadian rhythm in check.)
Educating the new generation of architects for interdisciplinary green environments !!!

11. Possible “draft” of the NEW MASTER DEGREE program section “Architecture
Pre-requisite: it is assumed that the students have a relevant background in technical, artistic, and philosophical disciplines, alone with the advanced knowledge in architectural design and urban planning, plus a ground knowledge of mathematics and relevant construction and engineering disciplines.
Participants in the international MSc programme for Sustainable Architecture will learn to identify and apply the correct measures and resources to design high-quality, cost effective architecture that contributes towards achieving a zero emission built environment.
We see the new draft of MSc programme in Sustainable Architecture to be in the forefront of research, innovation and implementation related to reducing GHG emissions in architecture which the students will be able to transfer into their practice as building professionals. The continuous focus on integrated design methodology and on the multidisciplinary approach will enable the students to perform in any building and urban-planing design team , both as co-worker and leader.

Course description: The curriculum can consist of 3 consecutive semesters with theory and project courses, and a fourth semester during which the participants do their MSc Architectural Diploma Project using the actual situative plans of Voronezh City.

Pre-requisite: it is assumed that the students have a relevant background in physics and mathematics, plus a ground knowledge of relevant engineering discipline (i.e. fundamentals of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, material science, etc.).
