What is CTE? Career and Technical Education
Classes that prepare students for college and careers

What is a CTE Pathway? A sequence of courses within a student’s area of interest. A Pathway makes a connection from high school to college for a certificate, a degree, and / or a career Nationally recognized and promoted

How do pathways benefit students?
Many pathways offer concurrent enrollment credit, which will save students money! Students acquire technical skills training Students participate in hands-on learning Students can get a jump-start on a future career

What does a CTE pathway look like?
A Pathway includes foundation and elective courses within a student’s area of interest. To complete a pathway, students must earn 3.0o graduation credits.

Medical Anatomy and Physiology Elective: (1.0 credit) Intro to Health Science Medical terminology Workplace skills

Pathways have replaced academies Students who complete a pathway will earn a special recognition at graduation More details will come in advisory in September
