2 Classification The classification on this gene is autosomal recessive
Is also bilateral (comes from both mother and father)

3 History Was noticed by many so who discovered it is unknown
Dr. Fuch was first to describe it in medical literature

4 Causes Fluid leaks into cornea causing Edema making a bluish color, may also form blisters

7 Dog Breeds & Ages Airedale Terrier: 4-12 months
Poodle: greater than one year of age Siberian Husky: 5 months- 2 years Miniature Pinscher 1-2 years of age Samoyed: 6 months- 2 years Weimaraner: 8 years Whippet: 3-5 years

8 Symtoms Grayish-white lines White circles, or clouding in the cornea
Crystalline appearance

9 Treatment Hyper osmotic agents (medication is inconsistent)
Thermokeratoplasty : multiple burns to cornea which causes anterior stromal fibers to contract. No fluid can enter stroma. Prevention: No prevention Complete eye exam is suggested annually
