1 Module Loading Task Force Meeting October 21, 2004
Sector Status Module Loading Task Force Meeting October 21, 2004

2 Sector Status 9005 – FE-I2 modules 9000 – FE-I3 bad modules
Used for qualification and extensively tested (system test) 9000 – FE-I3 bad modules Used for final tune-up of assembly process Assembly completed. Survey completed - OK Preliminary( room T) electrical test done - OK Thermal imaging, thermal cycling and burn-in to be done Back in system test for now 9006 – 1st production unit Assembly and survey completed on September 24. OK Waiting for test system to be completed. 9007 Assembly and survey completed September 30. OK Thermal OK so far – see page 3 Room temperature electrical test complete – OK(see page 4) Will be first to go through complete production testing sequence 9008 Two modules loaded. One was not fully tested! Picked up wrong module in cleanroom! Procedure fixed!! Room temperature test on module OK, in burn-in 9009 Assembly and survey completed on October 19. See page 5 for survey Waiting for test system to be completed Have stopped assembly until production testing setup in place and working well

3 9007 Electrical

4 9007 Thermal

5 9009 Survey Note that some nominal values must be adjusted slightly to conform with reality, as built dimensions

6 Testing Status Room temperature, single module testing, slow source testing in place and working Box for cold testing, cycling and fast source test will just be completed by today. Burn-in boards ready Thermal camera/imaging working Will do low temperature soak in an environmental chamber separately to save time. Heat exchanger(for C6F14) cooling system contaminants. Origin not understood. Implementing second clean system from scratch with careful attention to cleanliness and leaks. Have also ordered FC-77 to try this route (ala Genoa) if necessary. In general, still at least a week, maybe more, from having complete production-quality testing validated. No more assembly until full testing system up and working reliably.

7 Planning Have capacity to easily increase sector assembly rate by about 25% above that shown in plan. Will need this unless testing gets moving.
