Disney characters, TV show characters, animated movie characters, comic book characters...
The more different, the BETTER (example: the NuNu machine from Teletubbies and Zeus from Disney's Hercules)
Imagine that they produce a child; you are making that hybrid child
Notice: lots of sketching required...but totally worth it.

4. Process 1. Brainstorm characters. The more different, the better!
Tip: pick different “worlds” (Pokemon + Disney princess = fantastic project)
2. Sketch ideas of different “genetic” results
At least 2 different potential offspring

8. Consider...
Stability. This is a freestanding sculpture. It must stand on its own.
Freestanding. Make sure it looks good from ALL sides
Will your design work with clay? Is it structurally possible?
Building techniques (Coil? Slab? Pinch pots? Do you need air holes? Etc.)
The weirder, the better

Able to stand on its own
6-8 in. tall
Characters from animated movies, TV shows, video games, comic books, etc.
At least 2 sketches of different potential offspring, checked off by Ms. Squires
