Daniel As Christians, we know God is fully revealed in Christ
Daniel As Christians, we know God is fully revealed in Christ. So when we look to God for the nature of love, our gaze is on Jesus, and in Him we see Love, given to us freely, fully, faithfully, and fruitfully. We see that if His sacrificial gift of love were not freely given, it would not be love, but a coerced tragedy; if it were not full, it would be a half-hearted mimic of love; if it were not faithful, we could not put our trust in Him; and if it were not fruitful, we would have no salvation. With God’s grace, we seek to enter into the standard of true love shown to us by Christ. We will continue to journey in this book, taking a look at true love always containing the Four F’s of free, full, faithful, and fruitful. Even though some may say that love, and thus marriage, cannot last forever, we as believers know such a skeptical view is not true, for God’s love is eternal. All true marriages enter into God's eternal love.

STERILIZATION THE BODY MATTERS… IT HAS MEANING “OWNING” OR “SUBMITTING” TO THE BODY’S MEANING BRINGS JOY, OFTEN THROUGH THE CROSS
69
Another area that people don’t think through is sterilization
Another area that people don’t think through is sterilization. We would think it is absurd to deliberately cut off a perfectly functioning hand or gouge out an eye. Yet, when it comes to doing damage to our sexual organs, we forget. Our bodies are not shells—they are integral to us. One of my friends told me with great sadness in his voice, “I knew getting a vasectomy was wrong, but I was worried about my wife’s health. I did it for a good reason, but I know the end does not justify the means...and our marriage suffered.” Another friend, a surgical nurse, tells the story of holding a uterus in her hand while the doctor “tied the patient’s tubes” when my friend realized, “I am assisting in a procedure that does damage to a woman. What am I doing!?” She never helped with such a procedure again, the hospital respecting her views. Another woman told me with tears how she felt after her sterilization, sitting in the hospital bed, feeling empty, regretting her decision, wanting to be a mom again. There’s a sure way of not getting pregnant. Abstinence. It may seem old-fashioned, but we can also call it “green”: respecting, not damaging, creation.
70
COHABITATION THE BODY MATTERS… IT HAS MEANING “OWNING” OR “SUBMITTING” TO THE BODY’S MEANING BRINGS JOY, OFTEN THROUGH THE CROSS
72
In previous generations, dating and engaged couples did not live together. It was expected that committed love was to be professed publicly at a wedding before the couple lived together. Now, it seems that pragmatism and financial expedience, rather than formal commitment, dictate couples’ decisions. Cohabitation allows for an easy way out of a relationship. It seems to feed directly into the deepest insecurities of a man—“Am I man enough”—and into the deepest insecurities of a woman—“Am I desirable?” The statistics speak for themselves.
73
FORNICATION THE BODY MATTERS… IT HAS MEANING “OWNING” OR “SUBMITTING” TO THE BODY’S MEANING BRINGS JOY, OFTEN THROUGH THE CROSS
75
Forms of Fornication Sexting and Snapchat pictures, etc. are forms of fornication for they violate chastity—which has to do with not unveiling what ought to be veiled. Nakedness—a vulnerable position with only those you can trust (Infant, doctor appointment, spouse, elderly) Nazis, others to humiliate

80
GENDER IDENTITY THE BODY MATTERS… IT HAS MEANING “OWNING” OR “SUBMITTING” TO THE BODY’S MEANING BRINGS JOY, OFTEN THROUGH THE CROSS
81
Throughout this book, we have tried to convey the significance of the body as a sacrament of the whole person, and that the body has deep meaning, which guides us in our search for identity and purpose. Proponents of gender theory tell us that our bodies do not guide us regarding the truth...we can simply decide what gender we are. Yet, our sex—as male or female—is based on the body and its meaning. As future parents, you are the most formative influences on your children. Although it will difficult to challenge prevalent ideologies (seen in Facebook's 50 gender options), help them to see the greater truth that the body matters, and to accept the body for what it is, a revelatory gift from God. Meanwhile, teach them that every single person we encounter deserves a response of love. This is equally true for people who consider themselves to be the opposite gender from the sex of their bodies, or persons who says they are homosexual, transsexual, etc. Love is the only fitting response
