Click me Homer is a blind poet from the Dorian or Greek Dark Ages (1100 to 700 BCE/BC) who tells us about the Greeks and the Sea Homer tell us of a two part epic about the sea Iliad– The hero travels to the Trojan war by boat Odyssey – The hero tries to travel home by boat This ancient tale shows the strong ties of the Greeks to the sea.
