Carefully read the (s) Westside Coaches send you regarding ARRIVAL TIME Download the HEAT SHEET that is attached to the meet Write down which EVENT your child is swimming in Write down the HEAT and LANE your child is in for each event IV. THE DAY BEFORE THE MEET EX. OF HOW YOU CAN WRITE EVENTS ON YOUR CHILD’S INNER FOREARM W/A SHARPIE SO YOUR CHILD CAN REMEMBER AND NOT MISS HIS/HER EVENTS! V. ARRIVAL & GAME PLAN SWIMMER:
Arrive at PALI by no later than 8:45am Check in with your coach immediately after arrival Make sure you know what events/heat/lane you are swimming before you arrive (see Slide IV) Get ready for the quick “Dynamic Warm Up” that will happen on deck with your teammates around 8:55am. Have your cap and goggles ready because you are in the water at 9:00am! Be on standby for a quick 9:15am Parent Meeting by the Admin Table about Timing and other Q&A PARENT:

VI. TIMING To write down the time: Ex. 1:10.29 = _1_ _10_ _29_ RESET
The clipboard will have the Event #, Names of Swimmers and Heats. It helps to call out the swimmers’ names on your list to make sure they know their race is near. To write down the time: Ex. 1:10.29 = _1_ _10_ _29_ RESET START/STOP *If you make a mistake, a HEAD TIMER will be sitting nearby at the Admin Table, with a running stopwatch ready to replace. Just run over and quickly exchange stopwatches. ”PICKLE” -2 Timers/Chairs per lane -Each Timer will have a ”PICKLE” to press when swimmer TOUCHES wall -1 Timer has Stopwatch -1 Timer has Cllipboard to write down the time

VII. BEFORE & AFTER RACE EXPECTATIONS
BEFORE THE RACE Check what event/heat they are on Swimmer talks to coach Bathroom? Go to the correct lane Talk to the coach Rest Stay in the shade Hydrate Eat a little to refuel Relax AFTER THE RACE
