3 Introduction: I chose ‘swimming’ because I enjoy it!
Swimming is a very healthy sport, because it helps exercise the whole body (Even in the dives).

4 Strokes: Butterfly Backstroke

5 Strokes: Freestyle Breaststroke

6 Dives: There are two different kinds of dives –
One of the dive is for the Backstroke. You start in the water, hold the railings and once the whistle is blown, dive into the water with back facing the water.

7 Dives: The other dive is for the other three strokes. You have to start on top of the start block and when the whistle is blown, you push with your arms and legs and dive in the water.

8 Under Water Phase: There are two different kinds of Under Water Phases. One for Freestyle, Backstroke and Butterfly and one for Breaststroke. In the one for Freestyle and Butterfly you do Butterfly kick’s on your stomach. In Backstroke you do the same but on your back. Breaststroke under water phase

9 Flips: There are two kinds of flips. One of them is what you do in Freestyle and Backstroke. You do it like a front roll, but it’s a half front roll. After you do the front roll, you push hard on the wall. In Backstroke you are allowed to do a stroke of Freestyle right before the flip.

10 Flips: The other flip is what you do in Breaststroke and Butterfly. You come to the wall and touch the wall with two hands. Next you look at your hand while it’s in the air and then push.

11 Championships And Events:
One of the most important swimming championship is the Olympic Games. There are many events –50m, 100m, 200m and 400m events in every stroke. There are also long distance events like 1500m. There is also an event, called the IM (Individual Medley). You do all four strokes in it - first Butterfly, then Backstroke, Breaststroke, then Freestyle. You could do 100m, 200m and 400m. Relay event – like 4x100m Freestyle, 4x100 Medley

I started swimming when I was three years old in America. I went in a club when I was six. It was called the HACC (Herndon Aquatic Club Commanders) It wasn’t competitive swimming. When I was seven we moved to India so I started competitive swimming there. The club’s name was Khazan Singh Swimming Academy (KSSA).

15 My Experience: History
When I was nine we moved to Nederland. Here I train in a club called Eiffel Swimmers PSV.

16 My Experience: Championships
My first Delhi State championship was in 2011 August, and I won a silver and a gold medal. My first championship in Nederland was in January 2012, I won two gold. I have won several medals But I still improve my time.
