4 Florence Nightingale Nurse who worked on wounded soldiers in the Crimean war Wounded soldiers laid on bare ground, no sanitation, and little food Florence demanded the place be cleaned and for better care Death rate dropped from 60% to less than 2%

Women had to cover themselves to ankle to wrist Even Piano legs had to be covered as they were seen as immodest

6 Victorian Age part 2 Women wore corsets that squeezed their waist to inches the ideal size Wives were expected to be domestic Widows were expect to dress in black and never to remarry, men were expected to wear a black band around their hat and remarry quickly
