Highlights of Mr. Lee Mr. Lee is a fifth year teacher at Akimel A-al with five years of public school teaching Graduated from NAU 2012 with choral music education and piano performance He is a part of the Artistic Staff and a singer of the Phoenix Boys Choir. This will be his 16th year performing with them. He is a former Kyrene student having attended Mariposa and Pueblo Middle School

Students to perform choral music with high level presentation as a team, community, and family Each student to understand and enhance their singing ability Students to be touched by the power of music and to share that passion to our community through performance

Classroom Regulations (AKA LEE Laws)
Raise your hand if you have a question or comment relevant to the rehearsal Keep your hands to yourself. No food or gum is allowed in class. Have folders with music and pencil for all future rehearsals Avoid using negative comments. Keep talking to a minimum during transitions Listen and Follow the director’s instructions

Performance Practice Assessment
PPA (Performance Practice Assessment) will observe the student’s ability to rehearse in a choral setting on a daily basis. Each day will be 4 points total until the end of the quarter. Attendance-Come to class on time, all the time Attitude-Come with a positive and flexible mindset Class Effort-Do your best to commit to the class Classroom Regulation-Follow the classroom rules and meet teacher’s expectations

Protocol for Misconduct
Misconduct includes failure to follow classroom regulations and disruption of the rehearsals. Continuous failure to follow the rules will result in the following sequence: 1. Refocus/Time Out 2. ISI Detention/Lunch Detention Phone Call Home to Parent Communication 3. After 3 Detentions, report to the administrator to consider removal from the ensemble.

Concert Expectations Student’s participation in the concert will be graded on the following critieria: Attendance-Please arrive 5 minutes before call time Attitude Audience Behavior-NO CELL PHONES Dress Code Performance Effort Performance Etiquette Each Criteria listed above will be 4 points. Total concert grade will be 24 points.

Protocol for Concert Absence
Parents must notify Mr. Lee 1 DAY in advance if a student is going to miss a concert or arrive late. With the exception of emergency situations, notices given to Mr. Lee on the day of the performance will not excuse the student and result in a failure grade for that performance. Parents may notify Mr. Lee via , voic , letter with parent signature, or phone call. Students whom miss the performance will be expected to make up the performance in 1 of 2 ways: Student may attend another choir performance to observe and type up 1 page Student may type 2 full pages of a famous musician’s biography. Musician will be selected by Mr. Lee.

Make-Up Report Expectations
Must be typed in word document or google docs. Double Spaced “Times New Roman” Font Font size=12 Due date is 1 week after the concert or appointed to by Mr. Lee Report may be ed to Mr. Lee or given to Mr. Lee as a printed out copy
