Disadvantages of living in Noto
Noto, located in the province of Syracuse, is the cultural heritage of humanity. Living in Noto has advantages and disadvantages. Our town, unfortunately, does not have many businesses, the population is often forced to having to go to Syracuse or to Modica and Ragusa to buy clothing, electronics and anything else that is not grocery. Since Noto does not offer many job opportunities, the population would like to see the municipality give a helping hand to young people seeking work, which often are forced to move in northern Italy to have more job opportunities. The green areas are lacking and missing the meeting places for kids although they exist in two city parks (Mannarazze and Fazzello) that until now have not been fully exploited. Other needs of the population are:-the creation of bike paths in the areas surrounding the city-construction of large parking lots that can accommodate many tourists that arrive there during the most popular festivals – increasing the number of existing toilet-a richest and high tech library-more services to promote the socialization of the elderly.

Advantages of living in Noto
Noto has the advantage of being a town rich in Baroque architecture, historic buildings and beautiful churches. The town organizes numerous events through the year, notably the Infiorata festival in May, and in February and August the celebrations of San Corrado, the patron saint of Noto. The town also benefits from an abundance of fresh, reasonably priced, local produce sold at markets, street stalls and supermarkets. Another plus for Noto was a decision taken by the Municipality 3 years ago to introduce door to door refuse collection and re- cycling. This had an immediate and very positive effect on the general environment and DUSTY Ltd. plays its part in keeping the streets of Noto clean. Being a relatively small population, where most people know each other through family and friends or through participation in the various clubs and associations, Noto is a town with a strong community spirit.
