Petition – Certain number of qualified voter signatures required for nomination. Local.

A party’s nominating election in which only declared party members can vote. Nominating election in which any qualified voter can cast a ballot.

NONPARTISAN ELECTIONS
All or nearly all school and municipal (city) officials chosen in elections where they are not identified by party.
