11 Who is Carver Elementary
Carver Elementary and Arts Magnet School is composed of two programs housed as one elementary school. These are Program A (traditional) and Program B (creative arts magnet). Currently, with the institution of the Middle-School approach and the addition of a Pre-Kindergarten program, Carver Elementary serves grades Pre-K through 5. Grades K-2 are self-contained, and grades 3-5 are departmentalized. The school is staffed by a principal, one counselor, 25 certified classroom teachers, 8 artists and 9 specialists, and three teacher aides. In addition there is one itinerant professional and support personnel including two secretaries, seven lunchroom workers, and three custodians
