Academic integrity can be defined as a commitment, even in the face of adversity, to FIVE FUNDAMENTAL VALUES:

5) RESPONSIBILITY

4. Dishonesty at ASFM:
1) Plagiarism – Using someone else’s work, ideas, or expressions. If you use their ideas, you need to cite your sources.
2) Cheating on tests and quizzes.
3) Telling others what’s on a test or quiz.
4) Copying or “sharing” homework.
5) Taking Credit for work you didn’t do.

5. Definite Consequences:
1) Lose credit for assignment or test.
2) Redo the assignment.
3) Parents are informed.
Discipline: Decided between teacher, Principal and board. Can result in suspension, and in very serious cases, expulsion.
