1. Rosalind Monks: Art Rosalind Monks is the first artist you will be studying in art. Monks is an artist that uses line within her work. She uses lines to create patterns within shapes of insects, birds and other animals. She combines a variety of different lines together to make patterns. This image shown is called “In the beginning” and was designed for Kleenex tissues based on single cell organisms that started life on earth. Your task 1. Produce a drawing based on this image. Copy the shapes, lines and patterns. You could add some colour? You could do one big detailed design or lots of smaller shapes to fill a page. Look closely at all the layers and add these to your drawings. AND 2. Research into the artist and make a poster that shows all your favourite pieces of her work.
