a A Introduction This is an upper-case letter.
We will first practice lower-case [小文字] letters. Lower-case letters will make writing words easier. This week’s lesson will be on round letters. All of these letters have the same beginning. A This is an upper-case letter. a This is a lower-case letter.

Beginning Lines Make a curved line up.
Then, go back a little and down to make a half-circle. 1) 2)

Writing “a” and “c” First, do the starting lines.
To make an “a”, go up and connect the top. Then go down and make a tail. To make a “c”, make the bottom of the circle a little longer. 1) 2) 3) 4)

Writing “d” First, do the starting lines.
To make a “d”, go up, like an A, but go over the top. Then, go back down and make a tail. 1) 2) 3)

Writing “g” First, do the starting lines. To make a “g”, go down.
Then, make a curve forward and cross. the line at the bottom of the half circle. 1) 2) 3)

Writing “q” First, do the starting lines
To make a “q”, go down below the line. Then, make a curve backwards and touch bottom of the circle while making a small tail going up. 1) 2) 3)
