The London Underground Stations
On the Underground there are 408 escalators and 112 lifts. Covent Garden is haunted by an old actor from the 1800’s, who is dressed in evening clothes. Hampstead is the deepest underground station.

The London Underground is the oldest tube and opened in The first carriages were pulled by steam engines. There are 275 stations on 12 lines.

The first train journey was from Paddington to Farringdon station. Everyday 2.5 million people use the underground and 1 billion journeys are made each year. The busiest station is Victoria station with 76.5 million passengers a year!

The underground during the Blitz
During World War Two people used the underground to keep safe in because it was deep underground.

Where I live. The nearest station to my house is Bounds Green and it is on the Piccadilly line.

Our trip to the London Transport Museum
T Rex class went for a visit to the Transport Museum in Covent Garden. We went by bus and tube and it was a sunny day! I felt excited and delighted to go because I like trains. When we were there we saw old and new trains. My favourite thing was pretending to drive a bus!
