2. Motivation/Overview Based on SP Requirements.
Driven by a need to provide a common set of OAM requirements for MPLS based networks and applications from which to base IETF tools and protocols on.

3. Last IETF… Document could then be accepted as MPLS WG document.
Authors were directed by WG to combine draft-nadeau-ipbased-tool-requirements with draft-allan-mpls-oam-framework… into single draft named draft-ietf-mpls-oam-requirements-00.txt.
ADs agreed that combined document would be repository for all MPLS OAM requirements for IETF WGs (e.g.: PWE3, PPVPN, TE, etc…).
Document could then be accepted as MPLS WG document.
