Key points: Going forward to constituted organisation following one year participation and planning process to develop the Plan thus far; As other Parish Plans in the Sussex area – elect an Action Group to manage & implement short term plan delivery, to respond to new challenges and work with parish partners to develop new identified projects; quick run down on how, who, what is involved in the Action Group, and what responsibilities the Action Group must incorporate.

10 Short-Term Action Plans
Cuckmere Community Bus Speeding & Traffic Issues Recycling ‘Length Man’ All projects originate from Consultation Feedback & subsequent discussion

11 Data & Information Resources
Data from APP Questionnaire responses – - enabling the Parish to argue its agreed position on future developments dictated by local, regional & national authorities An Information Resource Booklet bringing together Parish information researched by the Plan & other Parish Organisations

12 Cuckmere Community Bus – Berwick Station
A one day week bus service from Upper Dicker via Arlington to Berwick station to access London, Brighton & Eastbourne train services at the cheap daytime rates A 3 month trial period to begin in September 2008 Price: £45 per day if just our villages, but £60 if we join with Hellingly, but could be much cheaper because of more fares

13 Speeding & Traffic Plan
The Questionnaire Issues Locations Responsibilities The Way Forward Partnerships The Future FRANK – to remember inclusion of Arlington cos ESCC is for UD.

14 Recycling Kerbside recycling – collections to be introduced by WDC by 2010 Weekly refuse collection needed Recycling containers at St Bede’s entrance on North side of Michelham Priory Rd – Bins: 3 colour glass; tins; & paper

15 ‘Length Man’ Opportunity for local employment, improved ‘look and feel’ of the Parish, increased security, social benefit to the community, but …. …initial efforts will be to maximise the existing services from statutory service providers such as WDC and ESCC – i.e. with litter and footpaths… but one to watch for in the future, if more responsibilities are devolved to the Parish, or services are cut, or problems get worse, etc….

16 Arlington Parish Plan Values
The consultation expressed the desire for a peaceful, productive and sustainable environment What this Plan sets out to do is to minimise negative impacts and maximise positive benefits to our community by using this Plan to articulate our needs and priorities in public frameworks

17 Vote yes and have a Voice
Have your say and be part of something that counts. That’s been our catch phrase and we hope you will all want to be part of the future of this Plan, your Plan. Thanks to everyone who has given so much of their time to create this Plan, and thank you all for being part of this process
